My name’s Paul and I am the owner here at In The Heather. I am delighted to have you as part of our growing In The Heather/ Heather Box Clan!

The brand’s namesake comes from ancient Scottish folklore that if you lay face down in heather and close your eyes, you may be lucky enough to feel the tiny hands of the faerie folk rubbing a magic ointment on your eye lids, giving you the gift of Second Sight - or the ability to see the world in a new, more beautiful way. In fact, there are many ancient tales from Scotland that specifically reference being “In The Heather”. It certainly got me thinking if there was something magical about this… Heather is also integral to Scotland’s history and heritage and a vital habitat to hundreds of species.

I launched my first shop at the Hidden Lane in Glasgow and I want to extend a genuine invitation for you to come visit us and enjoy a warm Highland welcome. My vision is to change the way that people think of Scottish products with an emphasis on luxury, quality and authenticity. Scotland is not all tartan and bagpipes! I recognise that people all over the world have Scotland in their blood and in their hearts and sharing a little piece of a genuine Scottish experience is what In The Heather is all about!
