For us, it isn't just sea glass or "litter" - it is a little piece of Scottish history and a nod to the skilled workers who once risked their lives to make the glass over a century ago. Glass factories once lined the Scottish coast and revolutionised our economy and provided reliable and safer access to food, drink and medicine - particularly for those living on remote island communities. The sea glass found all over Scotland's shores today likely contains seaweed from the same shorelines via kelp ash. We are fascinated by the historical and aesthetic aspect of sea glass and each and every element is hand crafted in our Glasgow shop. All the sea glass is also found by us.
